SolutionView 2.0.15 Release Notes
Summary
In this release, there is a brand new field type to allow solutions to be added from within a form, enhancement to solution recommendation to the Findings and Presentation, as well as features that allow a sales person to customize a discount and specify the tax rate from within the appointment. Additionally, we added a new feature called Project Goals, that allows a company to build a form that is available from either the side or quick navigation areas. Lastly, form details from your overview forms can be included in the Job Information page.
We also fixed an issue that happened within editing a project when a user deselected products from a sub-area that would impact a product minimum pricing in the project.
New Form Field: Add Solutions
There is now a field type that can be added to your forms that allows you to select and add solutions within the form. One way we expect companies to use this new field type is to include this field type during the stage of the appointment when you are learning about the customer’s concerns for the first time. This new field type will allow you to open up your company’s solutions and add them within the form, and then potentially show the customer that you have a way to address their concerns.
Findings Screen - Recommended Solutions
The findings screen, which appears after your inspection now includes a section in each inspection area for recommended solutions. This new section allows you to share with the customer while you are reviewing what you found during the inspection with solutions or services that you have not discussed yet. This new enhancements will allow you share what you found, and present what would’ve been out-of-scope solutions to the customer before getting to the presentation.
Presentation Options
With the enhancements to the findings screen, there is now a setting that has been included that allows you not include or include presentations from solutions that were not selected on the findings screen. This setting was included for company’s who prefer to not include solutions in a presentation to the customer before the customer has opted into learning about a solution or service.
Discounts - Allow user to edit
When creating or editing discounts that can be used on a project, you can now make that discount editable. When this setting is turned on, whether it is an amount or percentage based discount, a numeric field is visible within SolutionView that allows you to specify the new amount or percentage.
Tax Rates - Allow user to edit
When creating or editing tax rates that can be used on a project, you can now make that tax rate editable. When this setting is turned on, a numeric field is visible within SolutionView that allows you to specify the tax rate before applying it to a project. For company’s that are in areas with many tax rates, and may be subject to change often – this feature allows those sales teams to seek out the current tax rate and place the accurate tax rate confidently to the project.
Project Goals
SolutionView now includes a way for company’s to include one form in a new way, called Project Goals, where you can create and specify a form that is accessible easily from either the side navigation or the quick nav at the bottom of the appointment. This feature was requested in part from company’s that want to have key customer details easily accessible without navigating to a specific overview or inspection form.
Overview details in the job information page
In a previous release, we included the ability to include details from inspection forms to be included in the job information page as a part of the Contract PDF. This release adds the ability for details from overview forms in the job information page.
The job information page is often utilized by company’s as an internal document that is used for back office review and as a document that is given to crews that are heading to complete the installation.
This enhancement was requested by company’s that wanted details from the customer interview into the job information page, so that the back office and crews were also aware of customer details and concerns.
