SolutionView 2.3.14 Release Notes

App Enhancements

The enhancements below will apply to all users that install the most recent version of SolutionView.

Area Display and Toggles in Project Screens

The project setup, single-view, and comparison screens now include enhanced functionality.

Each area now includes an accordion functionality, allowing users to collapse or expand an area. This allows projects that include several areas to be easily collapsed to bring attention to specific areas.

Use the Project Setup to collapse or expand areas to prepare for the project presentation to the customer. Areas that are collapsed or expanded will remain synced between the setup, single-view, and comparison screens.

Each area can now be included or removed. When an area is removed, the total of that area is removed from the project total. When included again, the solutions and their previous status of accepted, declined, or hidden will be retained.

Findings Screen Enhancements

Enhancements in this version of SolutionView were included to prioritize photos over the inspection details. Now, when you open the Findings Screen, photos appears first. The user still has access to the details by pressing the tab.

Within the photos tab, users have the ability to add additional photos to each area if they didn’t include them during inspection.

Additionally, if an area didn’t have any photos attached, that area will be visible to include the ability to add photos.

Drawing Section in Navigation

The drawing that appears in the navigation has been moved up, displaying before Inspection.

Additionally, before you add additional projects or have an appointment with only one project, only the base image will appear. Only after projects are created for the appointment will the drawing screen include additional UI.

Before this release, there would be cards below that would display.

Drawing Unsync Enhancement

When a user decides to unsync a project drawing from the base, they now have the ability to use the base as a starting point. This allows users who are using the drawing within SolutionView as the primary artwork to begin with the base and modify from that point.

Product Placement Tool Enhancements

PNGs

Companies can now include PNG image files to the dynamic shapes area that can then be placed within the drawing tool.

Copy / Paste Objects

After selecting an object, select more in the bottom left toolbar. When selecting this option, you can now place copies multiple times on your artboard.

Configuration App Enhancements

The enhancements below are features or configuration now available to be placed with an org’s configuration. To utilize these new features, please contact support@solutionview.com.

Form Field Type: Drawing Preview

For customers using the drawing preview field type, it has been enhanced to better serve recent enhancements with multiple drawings in the Drawing Section.

Form Field Type: Open URL

A new field type has been introduced as an option for companies. This new field type allows for a custom title with an accompanying url. When added to a form, a button is added to the form and when clicked, opens the default browser and web page included with the form field.

Area Ordering within Project Screens & PDF

The order of areas within the project screens, the PDF, and any customer facing areas are driven by the order of those areas in the Inspect section as a default til now.

Now, if a customer wants to have a specific order to areas within the customer facing side of their projects, they can be specified within the meeting setup.

Product Ordering within a Solution

For customers that have a preference in product order within a Solution, they can now look at the order of those products by visiting the solution automation within the admin. Now, the order of products – from top to bottom – will match the ordering when adding multiple products to a solution within an appointment.

Ability to Hide Present & Drawing Sections from Appointment

A company can now configure their appointment to hide the drawing or present sections in the appointment.

Commission Modification

For companies who are utilizing the commission functionality on appointments, commission can now be set per project - as opposed to globally as before.

This allows for more flexibility to the user to set commissions on a per project basis.

PDF Functionality

This version also includes progress in PDF customization. Our team is working on additional configuration for companies who want to have additional control over page order, titles, page breaks, and ability to include custom PDFS between standard sections of the contract PDFs.
